6 Jan - Jodie Comer has recently exited Ridley Scott's new movie, "Kitbag", several weeks before it is set to begin production.

The actress shared the news on the Awards Chatter podcast, saying that she had to withdraw from the film due to COVID-19 and changes of schedule.

Comer was originally cast to play the role of Napoleon Bonaparte's first wife, Josephine. The role of Napoleon will be played by Joaquin Phoenix.

The film reportedly will be revolving around Napoleon's rise to prominence in France through his political and military prowess. It is also set to showcase the relationship between Napoleon and Josephine, whose marriage he annulled in 1810 due to lack of heirs.

On the other hand, it was reported that "The Crown" actress Vanessa Kirby will be replacing Comer in the role. She was also famous for playing Deckard Shaw's little sister in "Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw".
