28 Jul - After just a few days of saying that they are looking for directors to helm MCU's upcoming two Avengers movies, it was revealed that Marvel Studios has now found one for the first film, "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty" in Destin Daniel Cretton. The news was revealed by THR, stating that the director, who previously helmed "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings", will be directing the first of the two Avengers movies, that has a release date of May 2025. It is noted that Cretton's directed "Shang-Chi" made USD 432 million at the box office, and was announced to return for the sequel earlier this year.
Nonetheless, nothing was revealed as to who will be writing "The Kang Dynasty" or even which heroes will be making up the team's roster against Kang (Jonathan Major), who appears in Disney+ series, "Loki" and will be reintroduced in "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" in February next year.
