30 May – It was revealed that Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions are working together to adapt the latter's popular racing video game series, "Gran Turismo".

Following the success of their most recent collaboration, "Uncharted", the two parties reportedly are eyeing Neill Blomkamp to helm the said adaptation.

Not much details about the project have been released for the time being.

The South African director has directed several movies including 2021's "Demonic" and 2014's "Elysium", though he is most known for his 2009 movie, "District 9".

Aside from the said adaptation as well as the previously released Tom Holland's "Uncharted", PlayStation Productions is also working on several other adaptations including "Ghost of Tsushima" and "The Last of Us" - the latter a series for HBO.
