29 Apr – Warner Bros. recently revealed that they have greenlit the sequel to 2018 horror, "The Nun". The news was revealed during the CinemaCon that is currently running in Las Vegas, with the studio sharing that director Michael Chaves has been tapped to helm the said project.
Chaves is known for movies like "The Curse of La Llorona" and "The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It". Prior to the confirmation, Akela Cooper was signed onto the project as screenwriter, with James Wan and Peter Safran to produce. No news as to whether the line-up remains the same. The original film was directed by Corin Hardy and was a spinoff from "The Conjuring 2", which introduced the demon nun character, Valak. It is noted that the 2018 movie has one of the lowest critical scores in the "Conjuring" franchise, but the highest global box office surpassing even the "Conjuring" series itself.
