28 Oct – Hugh Jackman recently admitted that he realised he has made the mistake of saying "Logan" will be his last Wolverine film after watching the first "Deadpool" movie in 2016.
The actor, who spoke about his return as the X-Men character in the upcoming third instalment of the Deadpool franchise, said that he made his statement even before he began filming "Logan", but after "Deadpool" came out.
However, Jackman stated that he kept to his words even when Reynolds begged him "daily" for over three years about working together again as Wolverine and Deadpool. It was only until August this year that he said yes to the actor during a late summer beach trip with the family, while Reynolds had scheduled a meeting with Marvel and Kevin Feige.
Said Jackman, "I think, actually, he'd given up. I think it was a big shock to him. There was a massive pause, and then he said, 'I can't believe the timing of this.'"
Speaking about returning as Wolverine, the actor, who is currently preparing for the role, stated, "A little part of me now thinks I'd be better at it. Is that arrogance of age or something? Wolverine's a tortured character - more tortured than me. But I always get the feeling of him being comfortable in his own skin. And I feel more comfortable in my own skin now, even though it's messier."
"Deadpool 3" is set to open in theaters in November 2024.
