20 Jan – Following their successful collaboration with the Netflix film, "Don't Look Up", Jennifer Lawrence and director Adam McKay are working together again on another film, this time revolving around the rise and fall of Elizabeth Holmes' startup, Theranos. The filmmaker, who spoke to Insider about the project, revealed that Lawrence will be playing the role of the infamous biotechnology entrepreneur, and that the movie will be based on the 2018 book, "Bad Blood".
However, the director stressed that the actress is the right person to play the role, adding that Lawrence is excited about doing the voice. "She said she's feeling it," he added. It is noted that Lawrence is currently expecting her first child with husband Cooke Maroney. Elizabeth Holmes made headlines in 2015, after her health technology company, Theranos, which claimed to have revolutionised blood testing by using just very small volumes of blood, was revealed to have inaccuracies in the technology. She was later found to have tried to cover it up and was found guilty of three counts of wire fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
