13 Jul – It looks like the remake of the hit Korean zombie movie, "Train to Busan" has now been delayed indefinitely.

The movie, which was announced last year with the new title, "The Last Train to New York", was originally scheduled for a 21 April 2023 release. However, it was revealed recently that Warner Bros has removed the title from their release schedule.

The remake, to be produced by James Wan's Atomic Monster, previously hired Indonesian horror auteur Timo Tjahjanto of "May the Devil Take You" (2018's "Sebelum Iblis Menjemput" and its 2020 sequel, "Sebelum Iblis Menjemput: Ayat 2") fame to helm the project. However, there has been no other news of its development since then.

In a previous interview, its original director Yeon Sang-Ho expressed hope that the remake will have something new to show to the audience.

"I believe a remake should be a completely new creation. And as the creator of the original work, I do not think that there need to be similarities between the remake and the original Train to Busan. I actually hope that it will have its very own unique qualities and a new vision. In fact, as the creator, if it was almost exactly interpreted compared to the original work, wouldn't it be better to just watch the original Train to Busan?" he said.
