19 Sep – Orlando Bloom has been cast in the upcoming big screen adaptation of the hit video game, "Gran Turismo".

The "Pirates of the Caribbean" star will be joining "Stranger Things" actor David Harbour and rising actor Archie Madekwe, the two who were first cast following news of the project.


The movie, written by Jason Hall and Zach Baylin, will revolve around a teenage Gran Turismo player whose gaming skills won him a series of Nissan competitions to become an actual race-car driver.

Madekwe will be playing the teen player, while Harbour will be his mentor. On the other hand, Bloom will play the role of a hungry marketing executive who is selling the sport of motor racing.

The film, to be helmed by Neill Blomkamp, will begin shooting next week.
