Hey wait, isn't Wolverine already dead?

28 Sep - Ryan Reynolds has just announced on social media that Hugh Jackman will be reprising his role as Wolverine in Disney Marvel's "Deadpool 3".

In a funny video released on social media on 27 September, the actor hilariously spoke about searching his soul to write the next Deadpool, seeing that it will now be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"His first appearance in the MCU obviously needs to feel special. We need to stay true to the character, find new depth, motivation, meaning. Every Deadpool needs to stand out and stand apart. It's been an incredible challenge that has forced me to reach down deep inside. And I...I have nothing. Yeah, just completely empty up here. And terrifying. But we did have one idea."

He then asks as Hugh Jackman walks by in the background, "Hey, Hugh. You want to play Wolverine one more time?"

"Yea, sure, Ryan," the actor responded nonchalantly as he headed upstairs.

It is noted that prior to the announcement, Jackman's Wolverine is known to have already been killed in the 2017 James Mangold movie, "Logan". However, seeing that MCU is going into the multiverse plot, his return is not an impossibility.

Reynolds also announced that the upcoming "Deadpool 3" will be released on 6 September 2024.
