Sonam Kapoor's house burgled, lost items worth Rs 24 mil

It must have been hard growing up in the public eye
The couple are expecting their first child

11 Apr – Sonam Kapoor and husband Anand Ahuja's home in New Delhi was revealed to have been burgled back in February.

The news was confirmed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi district) Amrutha Guguloth, saying that a police report was lodged on 23 February by Sonam's father-in-law, Harish Ahuja - 12 days after the latter's mum Sarla Ahuja noticed the missing items.

The Delhi Police are currently investigating the case, with 25 employees besides 9 caretakers, drivers, gardeners and other workers are being questioned.


It was estimated that jewellery and cash worth Rs 24 million (approx. US$ 316,000) were missing.

The residence, located at Amrita Shergill Marg, is home to the couple that they shared with Anand's parents Harish and Priya, and grandmother Sarla.

Back on 21 March, Sonam confirmed news that she is pregnant with her first child.
