27 Apr – Following the success of "Venom: Let There Be Carnage", Sony Pictures recently confirmed that there will be movie number three.

The studio confirmed the third instalment during their CinemaCon panel, which was held on 26 April. No official release date has been announced, or any news as to who will be joining the movie.

Although the character first made its appearance on screen via Topher Grace's portrayal in 2007's "Spider-Man 3", it was revived in 2018 with its own stand-alone movie that has Tom Hardy playing Eddie Brock, a journalist who becomes the host to an alien symbiote named Venom.

The second film was a huge success when it was released in 2021, earning USD 502 million worldwide despite the pandemic, which is no such wonder as to why the studio is eager to greenlight movie number three.

It is noted that Venom also appeared in the after credits of Marvel's "Spider-Man: No Way Home", in which Eddie is seen returning to his universe but unwittingly leaves part of his Venom symbiote behind.
