25 Apr – Will Smith continues to suffer the consequences of his previous action at the 94th Academy Awards, as his new documentary series has now delayed production. It was reported that Smith's upcoming National Geographic nature series, "Pole to Pole" was originally scheduled to begin production in three weeks, with the actor to travel to the North and South Poles.
On the other hand, it was reported that Netflix has cancelled the development of the sequel to his 2017 film, "Bright", which was helmed by David Ayer. The original film stars Smith as an LAPD detective in an alternate version of Los Angeles where humans coexist with a variety of mystical creatures. It had been in development for four years, despite the negative reviews, before it was cancelled. However, the source stated that the cancellation of "Bright 2" may not be related to the controversy.
