23 Aug - It's a battle of muscles as Dave Bautista and Jason Momoa are confirmed to be collaborating in an upcoming movie together. THR reported that the two actors had been in talks to star in a new movie, "The Wrecking Crew" for MGM prior to the SAG-AFTRA strike, which is described as a buddy comedy.
It is noted that news of an upcoming collaboration between the two came out in August last year, after Bautista tweeted an idea, saying, "Just going to throw this out into the atmosphere and see what happens. Here we go... Me and Momoa in a Lethal Weapon type buddy cop movie directed by David Leitch. Ok! There it is. Now we wait."
However, the upcoming movie will not be directed by David Leitch, but by Angel Manuel Soto, whose DC movie, "Blue Beetle" is currently in cinemas. The project is penned by "Warrior" writer, Jonathan Tropper, who also wrote the script before the WGA strike began in June.
