Disney's "Wish" loses box office race to "Napoleon"

I wish my movie would do better

28 Nov – 2023 does not seem to be a good year for Disney, as its newest animated feature, "Wish" did not do as well as it hoped in its opening week.

Despite Thanksgiving usually being the holiday where a Disney movie would profit the most, the film fell short of expectation with only USD 31.7 million at the US box office after five days of release instead of the projected 50 million.

"Wish" was also panned by the critics for being uninspiring

"Napoleon" surpassed "Wish" at the box office

"The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes" is still number one
