4 Jul – More films are having a lacklustre time at the box office of late, with the latest being "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny".

The movie, which is Harrison Ford's final movie as the titular icon, made its three-day opening debut of only USD 60 million in the US, and another USD 70 million at the international box office.

That means a global opening of USD 130 million, which is revealed to be worse than DC's "The Flash", which made USD 139 globally when it opened last week with a budget of over USD 200 million.

It is noted that "Indiana Jones 5" had a budget of USD 295 million sans marketing.

However, the Harrison Ford-starrer is not the only movie that didn't do well at the box office, as "Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken" bombed at the box office with only USD 12.8 million globally, and Pixar and Disney's "Elemental" has only made USD 186.8 million worldwide in its third week.

It is noted that July will see even more highly-anticipated movies, including Christopher Nolan's "Oppenheimer", Greta Gerwig's "Barbie", and Tom Cruise-starrer, "Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One".
