30 Mar – Did you know that Keanu Reeves only spoke around 380 words throughout the nearly three-hour runtime of his new movie, "John Wick: Chapter Four"?

According to the WSJ, the actor spoke an average of four words per line, before his character goes on to have a long fight sequence, with many of his dialogue consisted only one word.

The amount of dialogue is even less than the first movie, released in 2014, when his character only spoke 484 words.

Speaking about the small amount of dialogue, director Chad Stahelski stated that it was Keanu himself who decided to cut out a lot of the dialogue written for his character in the initial script.

"He isn't just stoic, he's mysterious, and the mystery lets the audience fill in the gaps," said the director.

"It's a shock when you work with him how dedicated he is to not speaking," said Michael Finch, who co-wrote the movie, adding that Keanu also cut down his long exchange of dialogue with Bill Skarsgard's Marquis de Gramont to "Pistols, no quarter."
