Rajinikanth's heart "thumping with joy" about collaboration with Big B

27 Oct - Even an idol has an idol, as Rajinikanth happily expressed his elation on reuniting with Bollywood legend, Amitabh Bachchan in his new movie.

On 25 October, the Tamil superstar posted a photo of him with Big B on X, and wrote, "After 33 years, I am working with my mentor, the phenomenon, Shri Amitabh Bachchan in the upcoming Lycas "Thalaivar 170" directed by TJ Gnanavel."

Fans took to the comments to express their excitement about the project as well, with one writing, "Two great actors. Two legends of the Indian film industry. Can't wait for this."

Another posted, "Two legends in one frame."

Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan have worked together several times in the past, with the last movie being 1991 Hindi film, "Hum".

Meanwhile, "Thalaivar 170", which has yet to reveal its official title, is currently filming in Mumbai. It also co-stars Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, and Ritika Singh among other.
