21 Mar – Salman Khan's camp has now increased security for the Bollywood star in the wake of the threats made by gangsters. The news was shared by ANI, which tweeted, that the Mumbai Police has beefed up security outside the actor's house after he received threats by email.
Lawrence, who is currently in Tihar jail, recently asked Salman to apologise or be ready to face consequences, stating in an interview that the actor has humiliated his community by killing a chinkara, a gazelle species native to Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India. Salman was accused of killing the animal in Rajasthan during the filming of his movie, "Hum Saath Saath Hain" back in 1998, angering the Bishnoi community, who has been the protectors of the environment in the Thar Desert region for long. This is not the first time that the actor has been threatened. Last year, he and his father Salim Khan received a threatening note that prompted the Maharashtra government to give the actor a security cover.
