22 Feb – Digital creator Sofyank recently apologised for pranking fans with his recent Instagram update. On 21 February, the content creator, real name Mohamad Sofian, took to IG Story to address his latest update, in which he shared an image of him and Hollywood actor Paul Rudd, with the replay button at the centre of the image, prompting many to try and click on it thinking that it would be the highly-anticipated VFX video from his meeting with the "Ant-Man" star earlier this month. Netizens then took to the comments section, with mostly laughing at themselves for being duped into thinking it was a video and not just an image. "I thought I was the only one tricked by this. But a lot of others were as well," said one netizen. "I thought it was my phone that had a slow connection," said another.
Sofyank posted, "Thank you to everybody who commented in the post. A lot of people cannot wait to watch the video. By the way, I apologise to those who were duped by the photo prank. I was just playing around with you." Sofyank then admitted that he actually wanted to post the final result of his latest VFX work with Rudd on that day (21 February), but that he decided to delay it so that he can render it again after thinking that the video he did was not realistic enough. "Thank you for waiting," he added, and revealed in another post that he would be unveiling the video on 22 February at 4pm.
