14 Jul – James Gunn has added more actors to his upcoming DC movie, "Superman: Legacy", with the latest being "Barry" actor Anthony Carrigan. As reported on Variety, the actor, most known as NoHo Hank in the HBO series, will be playing the classic character Metamorpho/Rex Mason, an archeologist and founding member of the Outsiders who can change his body in any element after being cursed by an ancient artifact. "I'm excited just to shake things up. Noho Hank is such a specific character, and I'm excited to play someone completely different and surprise people with just being unrecognisable," said Carrigan about his casting.
Speaking about the character, which is not very known by the masses outside of the DC fandom, the actor said, "I think he's one of the coolest characters out there, so to get to bring him to light is something really special and it's also really, really unique." Carrigan joins David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan, who will play Superman and Lois Lane respectively, as well as Nathan Fillion ("Green Lantern"), Isabela Merced ("Hawkgirl") and Edi Gathegi ("Mister Terrific"). "Superman: Legacy" is slated to debut on 11 July 2025 and will be the first feature film in the rebooted DC Universe under Gunn and Peter Safran.
