9 Mar - It looks like that some of the previously planned Star Wars projects might not come to fruition.

In an exclusive report by Variety, sources are saying that two of the planned projects, a Star Wars feature by Marvel CEO Kevin Feige and Patty Jenkins' "Rogue Squadron", might not be going forward after all.

Feige was reported to be working on his own Star Wars project back in 2019, with screenwriter Michael Waldron saying that he is working on a screenplay for the said Marvel head in May 2022. However, five months later, Waldron was hired by Feige to write the script for 2026's "Avengers: Secret Wars", which means that both will be busy with the Marvel franchise for now.

Meanwhile, Jenkins' "Rogue Squadron" has already been delayed twice, first in 2021, and then again in 2022, when the movie was pulled from its scheduled December 2023 release.

For now, only the Taika Waititi "Star Wars" project seems to still be going on, with the "Thor: Love and Thunder" filmmaker said to still be working on it.

It was also reported that Lucasfilm is committed to a Star Wars film from "Lost" co-creator Damon Lindelof and the Oscar Award-winning Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, who worked on "Ms. Marvel".
