30 Oct - The Singapore Media Festival (SMF) is set to celebrate its 11th year from November 28 to December 8, bringing together Asia's media industry's finest offerings. The festival, organized by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), encompasses four major events: the Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF), Asia TV Forum & Market (ATF), Singapore Comic Con (SGCC), and Nas Summit Asia.

This year's festival expects to draw more than 55,000 attendees, including media professionals, industry leaders, and consumers. The SGIFF will showcase over 100 films from 45 countries, with special attention to Singaporean and regional content. Notable screenings include Eric Khoo's "Spirit World" featuring Catherine Deneuve, and other significant works like "Don't Cry, Butterfly" and "Orang Ikan."

The ATF, marking its 25th edition, will run from December 3-6, hosting major industry players such as Warner Bros. Discovery, TVING, Youku, and Tencent. Meanwhile, SGCC (7 - 8 December) will feature renowned creators including Hong Kong's Khoo Fuk-lung and Japanese illustrator Yuko Shimizu.

Nas Summit Asia will offer over 20 sessions led by Asian creative professionals, including Malaysian comedian Jaspers Lai and Singaporean photographer Smile with Jeryl.

According to IMDA's Cluster Director Yvonne Tang, the festival serves as a crucial platform for Asian creative talents to network and collaborate, while highlighting Singapore's position as a hub for world-class content creation and global media partnerships.

The event underscores Singapore's role as a key meeting point for Asia's media industry, facilitating both creative collaborations and business opportunities in the rapidly evolving media landscape.
