4 Sep - If it was up to Anya Taylor-Joy, she would be playing Elsa in a live-action remake of Disney's "Frozen" now.

The "Furiosa" star shared as much recently in an interview with Vogue Hong Kong, telling the interviewer that her dream musical role would be playing the snow queen made famous by Idina Menzel in the animated feature.

"I really want to do a musical because I'm a little too obsessed with my current job. I love the challenge of completing impossible tasks. I think that's incredibly motivating for me, so the idea of being able to sing, dance, and act at the same time is really exciting to me," she said.

Taylor-Joy said that shooting ice from one's hand can be "a lot of fun" and that she would love for her nieces and nephews to be able to tell people, "My aunt is Elsa!"

Despite the actress' interest in the role, it is noted that there has been no plan from Disney's side to produce a live-action remake.

The studio is currently focusing on developing movie number three and four, with "Frozen 3" being set for 2027 release. The animated features themselves have brought in a lot of profits for Disney, with the 2019 sequel amassing USD 1.453 billion at the box office.
