5 Dec - Timothee Chalamet has received thumbs up from THE Bob Dylan himself for his portrayal as the legendary singer-songwriter in "A Complete Unknown".

Dylan recently took to X to talk about the upcoming James Mangold film, writing, "There's a movie about me opening soon called A Complete Unknown (what a title!). Timothee Chalamet is starring in the lead role. Timmy's a brilliant actor so I'm sure he's going to be completely believable as me. Or a younger me. Or some other me."

"The film's taken from Elijah Wald's Dylan Goes Electric - a book that came out in 2015. It's a fantastic retelling of events from the early '60s that led up to the fiasco at Newport. After you've seen the movie read the book," he added.

The upcoming film will be revolving around Dylan's life in the summer of 1961, when the then 19-year-old singer arrived in New York from Minnesota.

Aside from Chalamet, the film, which will be released in theatres on Christmas Day, stars Edward Norton as singer-songwriter Pete Seeger, Elle Fanning as Dylan's musician girlfriend Sylvie Russo, as well as Boyd Holbrook as singer-songwriter Johnny Cash.
