Chris Hemsworth in talks to play Prince Charming

Thor star Chris Hemsworth may trade his hammer for a crown

25 Oct - It looks like Chris Hemsworth is transitioning from the Prince of Thunder to a Disney prince, as it was revealed that the actor is in talks to star in the upcoming new movie called "Prince Charming".

Not much has been revealed when it comes to the plot of the movie, but the film will be helmed by "Wonka" director Paul King, from the script that he wrote alongside writer-comedian Simon Farnaby ("Ghosts) and Jon Croker ("Paddington 2").

And while the title "prince charming" is closely related to the movie, "Cinderella" when it comes to the Disney franchise, it is said that the film will not be specifically linked to that character.

It is noted that the last actor to play a similar Prince Charming-like character was James Marsden, who starred as the typical heroic Prince Edward in 2007's "Enchanted".

Hemsworth most recently voiced Optimus Prime in the animated sci-fi film "Transformers One". Earlier this year, he played the role of deranged warlord Dementus in George Miller's "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga" opposite Anya Taylor-Joy.

He will be seen next in "Stuntnuts: The Movie", the third instalment of the "Kick-Ass" franchise.
