4 Dec - A movie about British primatologist and conservationist Dame Jane Goodall is currently in development for Disney by way of Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way.

The news was confirmed by Goodall herself, who shared that she has seen the early version of the script from screenwriter Eleanor Catton and has already given her own notes.

"They're making a film about me with an actress. I've seen the first draft of the script and made a lot of comments," she said.

No news as to who will play Goodall in the film.

It was revealed that Goodall will be a producer on the project, which will make it her latest venture with Disney, having worked with the company's Disneynature label in the past.

The 90-year-old Goodall is considered the world's foremost expert on chimpanzees, after 60 years' studying the social and family interactions of the great ape native.

She also founded Jane Goodall Institute; a global non-profit wildlife and environment conservation organisation, as well as the Roots & Shoots programme, which brings together youths from preschool to university age to work on environmental, conservation, and humanitarian issues.
