The movie, which made USD 40 million in the US, saw an 80 percent drop as it accumulated only USD 7.1 million in the US and USD 22.7 million internationally, bringing a total of USD 165.3 million worldwide.

It is noted that the film was made with more than USD 200 million in budget, and the fall in its second week is now considered the worst performing for a comic-book based movie.

Meanwhile, the indie horror "Terrifier 3" has topped the US box office, earning an estimated USD 18.2 million in its three-day opening.

The said slasher sees the character Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton) returning to spread fear among many.

On the other hand, DreamWorks' "The Wild Robot" is in second place at USD 13.4 million. The movie stars the voice work of Lupita Nyong'o as Roz, a robot stranded on a remote island who is forced to befriend woodland animals in order to survive.
