5 Apr - Marvel's "The Fantastic Four" has now found the right person to play the Silver Surfer in Julia Garner.

Deadline's sources stated that the Emmy Award winning actress will play the Shalla-Bal version of the Silver Surfer, which first appeared in "Silver Surfer" comics in August 1968.


Garner will be joining the already announced cast of the movie: Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (aka the Thing).

The project will be helmed by Matt Shakman of "WandaVision" fame, with a script by Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, Eric Pearson and Ian Springer.

The film is set to be released in July 2025.

Meanwhile, Garner is currently filming the movie, "Wolf Man". She was last seen on TV as Anna Delvey in Netflix's "Inventing Anna".
