24 Sep - While most children of celebrities would try to deny it, Junaid Khan has no issue admitting that he gets his acting break due to being the son of Aamir Khan.

The "Maharaj" actor, who had an interview on NDTV Yuva, spoke about his acting journey, saying that just like other actors, he too would get some roles and miss some as well.

"Yes, I did give auditions before Maharaj too. But they didn't happen. Laal Singh Chaddha was budgeted at a level where you wouldn't cast a new actor as the lead. So, I wasn't selected for that film," he said.

It is noted that Junaid's attempt to be in "Laal Singh Chaddha" failed after losing the role to his own father.

However, at the same time, he admitted that, "If I was not Aamir Khan's son, I would probably not have gotten Maharaj."

The admission received a thunderous applause from the audience, who appreciated his honesty in admitting his privilege.

"Maharaj", which is streaming on Netflix, is based on one of the greatest legal battles in Indian history, which is the 1862 Maharaj Libel Case.
