"Kalki 2898 AD" sequel is 60 percent completed

The sci-fi epic "Kalki 2898 AD" has many Bollywood 'A-listers' in its cast
2 Jul - As "Kalki 2898 AD" receives good words left and right, it was revealed that the sequel to the epic sci-fi is more than half completed.

The news was confirmed by Ashwini Dutt of the production company Vyjayanti Films, saying, "#Kalki2898AD part 2 has been completed almost 60%. Only major portions are left to shot. We are not decided on release date (sic)."

The movie, directed by Nag Ashwin, is set in a post-apocalyptic world in the year 2898 AD, and is inspired by the Hindu mythology.

The film follows a select group on a mission to save Kalki, the unborn child of a lab subject called SUM-80.

The movie has Prabhas playing the dual role of Bhairava, a bounty hunter, and Karna, an ancient sun elemental archer and warrior allied with the Kauravas.

Other stars include Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and many others.
