26 Jun - "Freaky Friday 2" is chugging along fine as it was revealed that Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis have now started filming.

The two stars were photographed on set of the movie on 24 June, with Disney Studios announcing on social media, "The Colemans are back and coming to theaters in 2025! The sequel to Freaky Friday is now in production!"

Lohan also shared another video of the two of them in front of their trailers, writing, "We're back."


It was revealed that Mark Harmon and Chad Michael Murray will also be returning for the sequel. In the original, Harmon played the role of Ryan, the fiance of Curtis' character Tess.

Meanwhile, Murray played Jake, the high school crush of Tess' daughter Anna (Lohan).

The sequel picks up years after Tess and Anna switched bodies, with Anna now having a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter.

The synopsis read, "As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice."
