7 Nov - The highly-anticipated Michael Jackson biopic will not be released as planned as it was revealed that the movie will be postponed a few months from its prior scheduled date.

Lionsgate announced recently that the movie, which stars Michael's nephew Jaafar Jackson in the lead, will be released on 3 October 2025, six months later than the original 18 April 2025 date.

Directed by Antoine Fuqua from a script by John Logan, the film also co-stars Nia Long, Laura Harrier, Miles Teller and Colman Domingo.

It is noted that the movie, titled "Michael", will include 30 songs and a lengthy runtime in order to do justice to the King of Pop's story.

Aside from "Michael", the early October 2025 slot also has Channing Tatum's true crime movie, "Roofman".
