1 Mar – The "Naked Gun" reboot is set to be released in 2025.

The movie, which was announced in 2022, will have Liam Neeson playing the character Detective Sergeant Franklin "Frank" Drebin, which was made famous by Leslie Nielsen. It is directed by Akiva Schaffer of The Lonely Island fame.

The project is penned by Dan Gregor and Doug Man, who previously wrote the script for Disney+'s movie, "Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers".

The current release date is set for 28 July 2025.

Last year, director and creator David Zucker revealed that he and co-writer Pat Proft had written a script for a fourth film.

"It may come out and may be great - and good for that - but I sure as f*** should be writing it," Proft said about the reboot.

Nielsen passed away back in 2010, 16 years since the last "Naked Gun" movie, "Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult".
