Simran slams rumours that she wanted to use Vijay's name to sell tickets

Simran has been accused of using Vijay for his star power

24 Sep - South Indian actress Simran Bagga has recently dismissed rumours that she is planning to produce a movie with the hopes of casting Vijay in it.

In a response to such rumours, Simran took to X on 21 September to deny it, writing, "It's truly disheartening to see how people can emotionally manipulate you and how little your friends seem to care about it. Up until now, I've stayed quiet, but let me make it clear: I'm not desperate to line up and work with any big heroes. I've been there and done that. My goals are different now, and as a woman, I know my boundaries."

Simran said that she has kept quiet for too long after she was linked to one star after another, but that she has now decided to put an end to all these rumours.

"I've never taken advantage of my name; I've always stood firm for what's right. I expect the same integrity from sensible people in the industry. Those spreading false rumors owe me a sincere apology," she added.

The response seemed to have been triggered by a recent article that claimed that Vijay has declined the offer she made for him to star in her movie. It has also prompted some people to criticise Simran and gave their own unsolicited opinions about her.

Another rumour has also sparked that Simran has been approached to star in Vijay's upcoming film that will be helmed by H Vinoth.

The two stars have worked together in numerous films in the past including the hit "Once More", "Udhaya", and "Priyamaanavale".

The two also starred in "Thullatha Manamum Thullum"
