19 Feb – Sivakarthikeyan's new movie has found its title and it is "Amaran".

And yes, it shares the same title with the 1992 K Rajeshwar movie starring Karthik and Bhanupriya.

Speaking about the title, director Rajkumar Periasamy shared that he already spoke to K. Rajeshwar about sharing the title, as he tweeted, "#AMARAN is the first word that I wrote for the screenplay of this film, as the title. It means Immortal, Warrior and Godly!"

"At this moment I'd like to thank Director K.Rajeshwar sir for magnanimously agreeing to give this nostalgic title for us. Thank you, sir. Means a lot to me!"

"Amaran" marks Sivakarthikeyan's 21st project, and is based on the heroic story of Major Mukund Varadarajan who lost his life in 2014.

The movie, which is produced under the Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International, also stars Sai Pallavi.
