Suriya's "Kanguva" to have a part two

16 Jul - It was revealed that Suriya's upcoming movie, "Kanguva" will not be a one-off film but to have a second part.

The news was confirmed by producer KE Gnanavel Raja, who said that they have planned for the movie to have two parts, with the second part to begin production by the end of 2025 or early 2026.

"If everything goes as per plan, 'Kanguva 2', might release in January 2027," he said.

Part one of the movie is currently in the post-production phase, and will be released in cinemas in October. This also means that the movie will be head-to-head with Rajinikanth's "Vettaiyan", which is also tentatively scheduled to be released in the same time frame.

The upcoming film, which is set 1,500 years in the past, co-stars Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, and Ananda among others.
