15 May - Bollywood cinematic goddess Tabu has been cast to star in the upcoming Max series, "Dune: Prophecy".

The series, which will be a prequel to the hit "Dune" films, is inspired by the novel "Sisterhood of Dune", written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.

Tabu reportedly will play the role called Sister Francesca, who is described as "strong, intelligent and alluring" and the one who will strain the balance of power in the capital.

The official logline stated, "Set within the expansive universe of 'Dune,' created by acclaimed author Frank Herbert, and 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, 'Dune: Prophecy' follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind, and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit."

Tabu was last seen in "Crew", the all-female heist comedy co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kriti Sanon. She will be seen next in "Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha".
