10 Jul - 18 years after the release of the hit comedy, "The Devil Wears Prada", a sequel is finally in the works.

THR reported that Aline Brosh McKenna, who penned the script to the 2006 adaptation, is coming back to write the follow-up movie that is now being developed by Wendy Finerman, who produced the movie.

There is still no information regarding the cast, with Disney not saying anything about the sequel. It is noted that the original film was produced by Fox, which had since been acquired by Disney.

Demand for a sequel sparked recently, when Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt all reunited on stage at the SAG Awards.

The 2006 film is based on the 2003 book of the same name by Lauren Weisberger that tells the story of a college journalism graduate called Andy who is hired as the assistant to the ruthless Miranda Priestly, the editor-in-chief of Runway magazine.
