4 Nov - The King of revivals Tom Cruise may be bringing back another one of his old action movies, as it was reported that he is in talks to do a sequel to his 1990 movie, "Days of Thunder".

Sources are saying that Cruise is confident that he will be able to create another successful sequel following "Top Gun: Maverick" (2022), despite "Days of Thunder" having not done well at the box office and received mixed reviews when it was released more than 30 years ago.

It is noted that the film made USD 157 million globally with a production budget of USD 60 million, which is considered a near miss.

"He's talking [to Paramount] about Top Gun and Days of Thunder," says a source. "It's going to be what comes together first in terms of a script. It depends on the idea and, ultimately, the script."

The 1990 movie was helmed by Tony Scott from a story by Cruise and scribe Robert Towne, and stars the actor as a young USAC racer who is recruited by Chevrolet dealership tycoon to race for his team in the NASCAR Cup Series.

"Days of Thunder" is also where Cruise first met his first wife Nicole Kidman, whom he married the same year prior to their divorce in 2001.
