Vidya Balan is ready to spook you again in "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3"

11 Oct - Vidya Balan couldn't believe that she has the chance to play Manjulika again, 17 years after the first "Bhool Bhulaiyaa" film.

The actress, who expressed her thoughts about returning for the third instalment, stated that she is thankful to producer Bhushan Kumar for bringing her back to the franchise.

"I would possess Bhushan (laughs). Thank you for bringing it to me. I have come back to the franchise after 17 years, and I am really happy about that. In these 17 years, Bhool Bhulaiyaa earned me a lot of love and here's hoping that part 3 does the same for the next 17 years," she said.

Vidya played Manjulika in the first film

Directed by Anees Bazmee, the third instalment of the movie stars Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri, and is set in Kolkata, West Bengal. In the movie, Kartik's Rooh Baba ventures into a haunted mansion and clashes with the vengeful spirit Manjulika.

It is noted that Vidya was not a part of the second film, which had Tabu playing the dual role of Anjulika and Manjulika Chatterjee. It, however, introduced the character of Ruhan Randhawa/Rooh Baba, played by Kartik Aaryan.
