3 Jul - Good news "Wicked" fans, everywhere. The upcoming Ariana Grande-starrer will be released in theatres a few days in advance than its original schedule.

Universal Pictures announced on 1 July that the movie, which is based on the Broadway musical of the same name, will be released on 22 November instead of the previous 27 November date.

With it being not so close to Thanksgiving, the new date will give the movie more time to get more word of mouth and to avoid competing with Disney's "Moana 2".

However, it will now face competition against Paramount's "Gladiator II", starring Paul Mescal, which will also be released on the same day.

Other stars include Michelle Yeoh, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Jeff Goldblum and SNL's Bowen Yang.

Meanwhile, "Wicked: Part Two" still maintains its 26 November 2025 release date for the time being.
