Yogi Babu to play the lead in cop drama, "Constable Nandhan"
10 Jul - Yogi Babu has begun filming his new movie, "Constable Nandhan."

It was revealed that an official pooja ceremony was held on 7 July for the movie, which will mark the debut of director Boopaala Natesan, who was previously the assistant director to filmmakers like Sundar C and Sasikumar.

Said the director, "Working with an eminent performer like Yogi Baby, who has become a favourite of audiences, is exhilarating. Despite his career as a comedian peaking, he has boldly chosen to step into the protagonist's role that has so much seriousness."

Said producer D. Shankar Thiruvannamalai, "It's an honour to work with an eminent actor like Yogi Babu, who has become an example to many aspiring actors. The involvement and interest he showed during narration was inspiring."

Not much has been revealed about the project except that Yogi will play the titular character.
