11 Jun - Aamir Khan recently revealed that his mother has made a cameo appearance in his new movie, "Sitaare Zameen Par".

Sharing that piece of information in an interview last week, Aamir said that his mother Zeenat Khan's appearance was unplanned and happened when she suddenly decided to visit his set.

"Normally, Ammi doesn't say she wants to come to my shoot. So, I don't know what she felt, but the morning of the song shoot, Ammi called and asked, 'Where are you shooting today, I also want to come.' I sent her the car and my sister brought her to the shoot. She came in a wheelchair. It was a happy wedding song, and we were having fun shooting for it while she was watching us," he said.

However, Aamir said that he was then approached by director RS Prasanna, who requested for Zeenat to appear in the shot as one of the guests at the wedding.

The actor said that he told Prasanna that he was crazy and that there was no way his mum would say yes, but then was surprised when Zeenat said yes.

"I was shocked! So, she is there in one or two shots. It's the only film of mine that she has ever been a part of," Aamir enthused. "I don't know what came into her. She is turning 91 on 13 June, a week before our film's release."

The actor said that even his sister Nikhat plays a role in the movie in a couple of scenes. It was the first time they ever worked together but that he hopes he will get to do it again with her.

"Sitaare Zameen par" is set to be released on 20 June
