Talent agencies want to represent AI actress Tilly Norwood |
30 Sep - Just as AI talent studio Xicoia introduces its first AI actress, Tilly Norwood, Hollywood actors are quick to express their disgusts over the news.
Actors like Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Melissa Barerra, Abigail Breslin, former child actress Mara Wilson and even Toni Collette expressed frustration over the development, with Barrera writing on Instagram Story, "Hope all actors repped by the agent that does this drop their a**. How gross, read the room."
Breslin, on the other hand, shared the hashtag #cancelTillyNorwood and wrote, "I beg every actor I know to [please] boycott this. If your agency is trying to sign an AI actor, you should leave them. It's such a f*** you to the entire craft. Also... not for nothing but it's a "female AI actress" so basically just another way for men to control and narrate the female experience. This is f*****."

Ralph Ineson said it straight: F*** off |
English actor Ralph Ineson, who most recently played Galactus in "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" only posted a short "F*** off."
On the other hand, "Matilda" actress Mara Wilson raised an important point, saying, "And what about the hundreds of living young women whose faces were composited together to make her? You couldn't hire any of them?" It was just recently that Eline Van der Velden of Xicoia announced that her studio's creation Tilly Norwood has attracted a lot of talent agencies, adding that they want Tilly to be "the next Scarlett Johansson or Natalie Portman".
