Written and directed by the acclaimed Ong Kuo Sin of "Reunion Dinner" fame, the film explores the poignant story of Jia Hao, a drag queen who returns home to care for his mother, Ju Hua, after years of estrangement. Ju Hua's dementia diagnosis forces Jia Hao to confront his past and, in an unexpected turn, take on the role of his mother's long-lost daughter.

This unconventional deception sets the stage for a transformative journey of healing, acceptance and self-discovery. The film is adapted from the life story of Christopher Lim, more commonly known for his drag alias - Sammi Zhen, a full-time drag queen in Singapore.

In addition to its Singapore release on 9 October, "A Good Child" will open in Taiwan and Hong Kong in early December.
