2 Jan - After eight years of continuous battle, it was revealed that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have now reached a divorce settlement.

In a statement released to the media, Jolie's legal rep, James Simon said that the agreement is just one part of a long ongoing process, and that the actress is relieved that this one part of the divorce case is settled.

He also added that Jolie is already exhausted over the whole issue.

"She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family," he added.

Back on 30 December, Jolie and Pitt signed off on a default declaration that they have entered into a written agreement on their marital and property rights, where they have given up the right to any future spousal support.

The former couple tied the knot in 2014, nearly a decade after meeting on the set of 2005's "Mr. and Mrs. Smith". The actress filed for divorce in 2016, claiming that Pitt had physically abused her and their children during a private jet flight from Europe.
