"Avatar: Fire and Ash" dominates cinema on Christmas weekend


"Avatar: Fire and Ash" continues its theatrical reign
29 Dec - "Avatar: Fire and Ash" continues to dominate at the global box office, having now made USD 760.4 million.

The movie, which was released on 19 December, has accumulated another USD 181.2 million internationally, and dominated the Christmas weekend in the US with USD 88 million.

It is now expected to make USD 1 billion by the end of next week. If it does so, it means that "Avatar: Fire and Ash" will be the third Disney film to do so this year behind "Lilo and Stitch" live action film and "Zootopia 2," the latter which is now in second place.

"Zootopia 2" is now the highest grossing Hollywood animated movie internationally
"Zootopia 2" has now made USD 1.4 billion worldwide, making it the fifth highest grossing Hollywood animated feature of all time, surpassing "The Super Mario Bros. Movie".

On the other hand, Timothee Chalamet's "Marty Supreme" is in third place with an opening number of USD 27.1 million.

"Marty Supreme" tells the story of real life table tennis player Marty Reisman
