8 Dec - Marvel is set to re-release "Avengers: Endgame" in theatres next year, ahead of the highly-anticipated "Avengers: Doomsday".

The said 2019 movie, which concluded the first MCU, will be shown in cinemas on 25 September 2026, although it was unclear as to how long the movie will be in theatres.

"Avengers: Doomsday" sees the return of the Russo brothers, who helmed the last two Avengers, and will have Robert Downey Jr. coming back not as Iron Man but as Doctor Doom.

"Avengers: Endgame" is currently the second highest-grossing movie of all time behind "Avatar" with USD 2.799 million. The rerelease meant that the movie has a chance to surpass "Avatar" again in the future.

Marvel movies haven't been doing very well for the past few years, with the latest film, "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" earning only USD 521.9 million at the box office - a meagre number compared to MCU films of old.
