8 Dec - The Aaron Aziz-starrer "Banduan" was recently named Best International Film at the International Film Festival of Australia (IFFA).

The movie, which is the Malaysian remake of India's hit film, "Kaithi," also won Rosyam Nor the Best Supporting Actor for his performance as Inspector Johari.

Speaking to the media about the film's success, producer Kalyana Devan said that the recognition has paid off all their hard work and made them more enthusiastic about the development of local films by 2026.

"It's been a month since we released Banduan. We didn't think we could win. All our hard work was worth it when it was recognised. This is truly teamwork and when we see the results, we are very happy," he said.

The film tells the story of Dali, who is forced to work with a police officer in bringing down a drug syndicate in exchange for meeting his daughter.
