8 Dec - Quentin Tarantino is finding himself alone in his views about Paul Dano, as Hollywood big names are now speaking up for the actor following the criticism that the "Pulp Fiction" director has about him.

Matt Reeves, who cast Dano as Riddler in 2022's "The Batman," defended the actor on social media, writing, "Paul Dano is an incredible actor, and an incredible person," while Ben Stiller, who helmed Dano's "Escape At Dannemora" expressed, "Paul Dano is f***** brilliant."

Alec Baldwin posted a video of him saying he loves Paul Dano, and added, "If you don't love Paul Dano, shh."

Meanwhile, Toni Collette, who worked with a young Dano on "Little Miss Sunshine," only shared a screenshot from the movie and added a crown emoji on top of Dano's head.

Tarantino found himself alone in his criticism of Dano recently at Bret Easton Ellis podcast, where he named his 20 favourite movies of the 21st century. Listing "There Will Be Blood" at number five, he stated that the movie would have been his first or second pick if it "didn't have a giant flaw" and naming Dano as the weakest link.

He then made everybody scratch their heads with a rant that went, "He is weak sauce, man. He is the weak sister, He's just such a weak, weak, uninteresting guy. Daniel Day-Lewis shows that he doesn't need a strong foil. The movie needs it. He doesn't need anything. It's supposed to be a two-hander and it's not! ... You put him with the the weakest fucking actor in SAG? The limpest d**k in the world?"
